Prepare to be Scared – The Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor

If you’re looking for Halloween things to do, one of my favorite recommendations is attending the Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor. Living in Southern California everyone has heard the stories about the Queen Mary being hunted. One of the top Halloween events Los Angeles, Dark Harbor takes the experience to a whole new level.

The Queen Mary Dark Harbor

Last week I had the opportunity to experience The Queen Mary Dark Harbor with the hubster and a bunch of girlfriends for opening/media night. And let me tell you, the evening did not disappoint.

Dark Harbor Ring Master and Iron Master

I decided to get there early on in the evening, as I heard there is a lot to see. While the sun set, we were entertained by a few of the ghoulishly frightful characters and treated to creepy side shows.

Dark Harbor Twirly's Traveling Tricks

If you decide to make a night of Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor, I highly suggest buying one of the Cabanas if you are with a group. It’s a great way to mingle with friends, grab some food, beverages, and have a place to unwind after the encounters with the undead in the mazes. After the long line waits, you’re going to want a few minutes to rest those tired bones.

After a bite to eat, it was time to test our fate in the horrifying mazes. As with all of The Queen Mary Dark Harbor’s mazes, you just don’t know what to expect with each and every turn. A huge fan of all things Halloween, I especially enjoyed the details of the mazes – if you have the opportunity to stop and look around. The attractions this year include:

  • Intrepid (NEW)
  • Deadrise
  • Circus
  • Lullaby
  • B340
  • Soulmate
  • Sideshow
  • Hex – Paintball Gallery
  • Panic 4-D Experience (NEW)
  • VooDoo House – Tasting Room (NEW)

Dark Harbor B340

I LOVED the attractions aboard the infamously haunted Queen Mary. A fun twist to the typical maze, you board the ship and walk the long narrow passage ways or go into the depths of the engine room and pool area. The mazes that take you through these haunted paths include Soulmate, Lullaby and B340. The all new Panic 4-D Experience is also aboard the Queen Mary, however you enter the theater for a super creepy video experience. Beware, you may get a tad bit wet!

Throughout the evening be sure to catch the live entertainment including contortionists, fire breathers, magicians and sliders! Check out the sliders below:

Check out the VooDoo House for a little deliciousness. We took a tequila flight that was quite good!
