Tacos! I LOVE TACOS! Especially a good burrito! You know, I can eat Mexican food for practically every meal and I’d be content. Having heard of Chronic Tacos, I was excited at the opportunity to visit a local restaurant and experience the “Chronic Taco”.
The story behind Chronic Tacos goes like this: Randall (The Owner) and friend Daniel, always had to drive to find a good taco. They eventually came up with the concept: Fast and fresh, made-to-order Mexican food. The idea became a reality in 2002 when the first Chronic Tacos opened in Newport Beach with a casual, relaxed beachy atmosphere and has now expanded to more than 30 locations throughout California and beyond.
The Downtown Fullerton location is located on the corner of Harbor and W. Chapman in a unique eatery strip mall and offers both indoor and outdoor seating options, perfect for families of all sizes. We decided to head on over for a special taco night with our princess since her brother was off hanging out with a friend.
When we arrived, the staff was certainly friendly and ready to make recommendations. I do have my favorites, so I stuck with my traditional shrimp burrito – grilled shrimp with whatever I wanted on it! I added black beans, spanish rice, lettuce, cilantro, onions, pico and a special sauce that was delicious!
My princess really enjoys a great steak taco with just cheese and loads and loads of salsa – pico is what we ended ordering for her.

And for the Hubster, he decided to go with a Al Pastor and Carne Asada Taco plate, which he really enjoyed.

I’ve never been to Chronic Tacos, but definitely need to go. I’d try their fish tacos.
